Lemonade Stand - Project Campus Challenge

Once the students finish their Storybird for their Service Learning Project they will have the opportunity to open a Lemonade Stand in the middle of the College Campus of their choosing.

The Lemonade Stand Final Project consists of 4 pieces.

1.  Market Research - 30 days of sales to gauge the best recipe.

2.  Creating a 3D model of their stand placed at the Campus of their choosing.

3.  Lemonade Stand Challenge -  45 days of sales recorded in the excel spreadsheet

4.  Creating a Marketing campaign consisting of a Print Advertisement to be placed into the Student Newspaper of the college of their choosing.

Tomatoes are Growing Fast - Storybird Project


Today the students will begin creating the pamphlets for our Service Learning Projects.

The Rotman Problem Solving Challenge and Team Building

As the students continue to navigate the testing schedule we continue to delve into sharpening our Business Skills and Team Buidling.

Today the students will be working with tutors to complete the Rotman Problem Solving Challenge.  They will be addressing the questions below in their groups and presenting their ideas.

Autonomous vehicles are no longer science fiction. Self-driving cars navigate roads in California, Florida, Nevada, and Michigan. Identify a market opportunity that arises due to the likely growing use of autonomous vehicles over the next 15 years. 

1.  Should an existing firm take advantage of this opportunity, or does it require a new start-up firm? How big (scale and scope) is the opportunity? 

2.  What are the core challenges faced by a firm in delivering the market opportunities identified?

Market Testing for the End of the Year Project!


Today the students will be market testing a Lemonade Stand for 30 consecutive days of service.   They will use the information obtained today to develop the perfect Marketing Strategy and Recipe to sell as much Lemonade as possible!

Problem Solving in Tutorials - Math Communication!

Today the students are exploring equations using the Number Machine.  The students will be tasked with exploring how different numbers give different outputs in the Number Machine.  They will then be asked to try to write an equation to represent what is occurring.
