Tutorials IP - Pitching their Individual Project Inventions in Tutorial Format
Today the students will be working in their Tutorial Groups enhancing their ideas for the individual projects they are working on.
The format should mirror our existing tutorial sessions except without the use of a Whiteboard. The following are the expectations of the students inside of the tutorial groups.
1. The speaker gives a 30 second speech about what their product is and why it is important.
2. The speaker then goes through the rest of the sheet including the Key Academic Vocab.
3. The Critical Thinking about the process is replaced by a more in depth explanation about what it is they are inventing. This is their vision.
4. The steps to solving is replaced with Questions from Peers. The students in their tutorial groups must ask 3-4 questions of the speakers invention.
5. Lastly, the speaker closes the discussion with a thank you and concludes their TRF.
Students should present for 4-6 minutes.

Today in Avid: Invention Design, Basketball, and SLPackets
Today in Mr. Robinson's Avid we are getting our first Individual and Service Learning Packets.
The students are going to start flushing out ideas for their Invention that is going to make the world a better place. The students will be working in small groups and having 2-3 minutes to brainstorm ideas independently and then share their ideas with their class mates. The classmates will then have 2 minutes to share their thoughts on the inventions as well. This activity will be done in with the help of our College Tutors.
First, however, the students will be continuing to work on their Critical Studying Skills. We will be exploring an invention that has already changed the face of the world and helped many individuals get themselves onto a path of success.
